In order to cooperate with the University mid and long-term development plans, the University Council approved to establish the Human Resources Committee in the 4th University Council Meeting in the academic year of 2006/2007. The Powers & Functions of the Committee are as follows:
1) To advise, review and make recommendations on the UM human resources direction, strategies and long term plans;
2) To advise, review and make recommendations on the UM human resources policies, overall staffing structure and related issues;
3) To review and make recommendations on the appointment terms of UM staff;
4) To review and make recommendations on the remunerations and benefits of UM staff;
5) At the request of the University Council and the University, to advise and make recommendations on other UM staff-related matters which are within the competence of the University Council.
